About Me
Just a little page about who I am outside of teaching and research
Hey there! I’m originally from Indiana, but don’t expect me to call myself a Hoosier—Purdue University is where my heart is, especially when it comes to sports! If the Boilermakers are playing, you’ll find me cheering louder than anyone. I swapped the Indiana cornfields for Atlanta's cityscape when I moved here for my PhD at Emory in Fall 2020. Outside of academia, I'm all about adventures. My big goal is to visit every National Park, though I’ve only made it to seven so far—and haven’t even checked off the one in Indiana yet! Travel has always been a passion of mine. The highlight so far has to be a trip to the Galapagos Islands with some friends from my program. Next up on my bucket list: hitting every continent!
I'm all about food and drinks - whether it's hitting up new restaurants, exploring dives, sampling brews, sipping coffee, or discovering wineries, I'm there. I might get a little carried away with my curated list of recommends, but hey, it's all in good fun! My friends and I keep detailed maps of every spot we try, complete with ratings and notes. Check out my top favorites in the map below!
