Graduate Student Teaching Award of Excellence

I was rewarded the Graduate Student Teaching Award of Excellence in 2024 for the Department of Economics. This award honors a graduate student who exemplifies superb teaching abilities and demonstrates extraordinary dedication to teaching economics.

Three Minute Thesis Finalist

After a preliminary round, I was chosen as one of 12 finalists for the 2024 Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition at Emory University. With the aid of one static slide, I presented my research in under three minutes to a general audience. This opportunity to share my findings made me excited to continue my research while also allowing me to improve my presentation skills.

Student Award for Inclusive Excellence

I was selected as one of 3 graduate students awarded the Student Award for Inclusive Excellence at the 2023 Dean's Address. This award is given to students who help create an environment of inclusive excellence in graduate education through engagement in service activities that build a more inclusive graduate community, recruitment of historically underrepresented students, and/or production of effective strategies to address barriers that prevent full participation from historically underrepresented students.

Tedesco Award

I was the inaugural recipient of the Tedesco Award in 2023. This award is made possible through alumni funding to the Laney Graduate School. I had the pleasure of meeting the main contributor, Lisa Tedesco, at the Dinner with the Deans as part of the Women in Economics program in 2023 as well as the Emory Award Banquet in 2024.
